Description: Incredible place to stop and eat and rest next to the sea!

Stumbled upon Roark’s Kitchen on a walk around the N.Irish coast & decided to stop for an ice cream. Inside is very petite so we grabbed an ice cream and sat on the benches outside, watching the world go by. The enormous variety of homemade cakes on display looked very tempting but as it was the hottest day of the year we had ice cream, which was one of the best ice creams I’ve had for a while, so much so I went back for another!

If you can get parked (no mean feat in summer) and get a table at this wee place it is worth the effort. The building is tiny but full of character and the food is very good. There is additional seating outside but of course this is dependant on weather conditions. Charming.

This is a great place for a drink of Tea or Coffee and something to eat. It is located beside a beautiful natural harbour and is close to Whitepark Bay.
Just enjoyed a Cup of Tea on this visit but was sorely tempted by the range of tasty food on offer, including fresh scones, with jam , and fresh cream.
In the small shop at the Door Ice Cream or sweets. or Dulse ( dried seaweed ) can be purchased. Yes , I have eaten Dulse.
Always an enjoyable place to visit, not only for the food or drinks, but because of the friendly and welcoming service always offered - and there is a sign outside which says that even "Game of Thrones " were here, and the Harbour is lovely to look around, or you can climb on the rocks, or go looking for crabs under the rocks, or you can visit the sandy beaches on the far side of the road you drive down on the way in, and this is an experience on its own as the road bends its way down to the harbour, or you can go for a walk to Whitepark Bay - there is plenty to do here, and youre always guaranteed a lovely drink, or ice cream, or food after, or before,.....or both..
