This was a great excursion. As a plant based girl , I like to support animal activism. We heard of the rescue from a tv show in Canada. The enclosures are roomy. And offer much entertainment. The accompanying stories are heartfelt.

Monkey world is unique as an attraction from watching the TVs show to reading the history of each of the primates on the enclosures they live in each primate was saved from one form of abuse or another,
This is our third visit and each time the park is bigger better and the enclosures better.
A brilliant day out.

Having lived around the corner when this place was first built I never got the chance to visit it until 30 years later. Ok it was a little wet on the ground but it did not rain during my visit. We managed to get hold of a mobility scooter for my brother which gave us a chance to have a good look around without having to worry about pushing him up the hills though very few are quite steep. There are a wide range of monkeys in the park the Orangutang being my favourite. The cafe was reasonably priced. I have never been to a park where they Poke holes in the ground to help the water drain away. This was done in the car park as well as inside the park the surrounding local areas had lots of standing water and places were indeed flooded! A great way to spend a few hours and make sure you put the right Monkeys in the car!

Always wanted to go and was not disappointed. You have to remember it's a rescue centre and not a Zoo so the animals are not there to entertain you. Having said that, they are wonderful to watch and viewing platforms and glass fronted shelters make that much easier and great for taking photos. I would recommend the various talks by the keepers. The whole experience is amazing and there are several places to find food and drink. Take your time, go and say hello and thanks to Jim and Charlie, watch the Gibbons and check out the Orangs playing at ET. Loved every moment and will definitely visit again.

We felt a number of things let this place down including the labelling needing updating (it seemed so old we stopped reading it) and the map being pretty incomprehensible which meant we didn't ever find the two types of monkeys I particularly wanted to see. We didn't have any food there but it seemed pretty 'greasy spoon', although I did like the shop. The monkeys are entertaining but we've seen them happier elsewhere and in more modern surroundings. Overall, a reasonable afternoon but not recommended.
