“Good location”
Reviewed 19 March 2015 for a stay in March 2015

A lovely cottage, in a good location for the village and the coastal walks, shopping really close, lots of places to explore on the island.
Nice and clean accommodation at a good price, I hope to stay here again.

“Our Xmas was made to be very special by the owners”

It's the little touches that go a long way. Welcomed by wine, chocolates, a tree and decorations, our stay was cosy, comfortable and chrimassy! We have stayed in cottages over Xmas before but the thought that went into our stay was immeasurable. Well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds and enough space for our teens.

Thank you!
Iffat and Karl.

“A lovely cottage would highly recommend.”

We loved this cottage, warm and cosy although there were four of us it would comfortably sleep 6 people. The cottage had everything you could possibly need and was the best stocked we have stayed in. The location is great with coastal walks right from the front door and a short 5 min stroll into the village with shops and several pubs. A real hidden gem and I can't recommend highly enough. The owner even left us milk, fruit and a nice bottle to help us celebrate the New Year. A great place for a relaxing break.

“Peeble Reef - a great place to stay”
Reviewed 18 January 2014 for a stay in January 2014

Peeble Reef is a lovely cottage. It's well equipped, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Everything we needed was provided. With five adults in the group it was great to have two bathrooms. We all appreciated the central heating, having been out all day in the wet and windy weather.
Portland is a great place to stay. The are plenty of walks and the views of the coast and mainland are fantastic. There is easy access to other places like Weymouth, Abbottsbury & Lyme Regis.

How easy was it to book the property? How helpful were the directions to the property?
How easy was key pickup/access to the property?

“Lovely new year break”
Reviewed 6 January 2013 for a stay in December 2012

Ourselves (2 adults + 12 month old) and friends (2 adults + 2 children, 3 and 6) stayed in Peeble Reef over the new year period for 4 nights. Overall we had a lovely stay and the cottage was large enough for this number of people for a short stay. The cottage was well furnished/decorated and equipped, with linen and towels provided plus many other extras such as dishwasher tablets.
Unfortunately the beds were noisy and uncomfortable. It felt (and sounded) like the double beds had waterproof covers on which creaked with every breath. The springs could be felt on both double beds. Given that we were sharing the room with our son (in his cot) this wasn't ideal.
The kitchen had most things we needed but the knifes had seen better days and we ended up having to buy pre-prepared vegetables as they just weren't up to the job.
As the property was at the top quality end it would have been nice to have had wifi access, especially given that the 3G signal was quite weak.
The previous review commented on the stairs not been suitable for young children but we didn't find this a problem as there was a door between the stairs and the living room.
Overall a lovely stay.
