“Good food and excellent value Sunday carvery but a fish/seafood option would be a huge plus!”

Always busy and lively here; definitely recommend booking for weekends and bank holidays. Great selection of vegetables well presented and prepared for the carvery but would really love to see a seafood/fish option to accompany this as we always end up with a nut roast or something rather predictable and boring for pescetarians as we all are. Good menu with reasonable prices although again it would be nice to have more vegetarian/pescetarian friendly options. Service can be slow, especially at busy times but always an enjoyable experience overall.

We booked late and got a table without a problem, they weren’t busy but it’s good to let them know your coming, jospered pork for me and the wife had beef bourgione both perfect and served with well prepared veg and tasty sauces. Warm enough to enjoy the terrace. Staff always accommodating. Sticky toffee pudding is always great.

Each year my family and I visit this pub and every year we leave full and happy. The portion sizes are good value for money and the food is always flavoursome and delicious. The beer garden is lovely in the summer. I defiantly recommend the Sunday carvery and the sticky toffee pudding

We popped in here on a Wednesday lunch time. The place was very busy, with few tables left. The staff are very friendly, and considering how busy it was we did not have long to wait for the food once our order had been taken. The choice was good from the menu, but their specials board had been stripped due to its popularity. I was driving so the soft drink selection is good, but the spirit choice is minimal, so of the wine list looks a little dated. Parking is good but you need to arrive early to get outside the pub. The bar is dog friendly, as is the garden (once the weather improves).
