This cottage is the perfect summer house - sitting in the garden having a glass of wine and watching the sun go down over the Purbeck Hills is magical. We spent most of the time we were 'at home' in the garden; having breakfast on the raised decking, listening to the cricket sitting in deckchairs, and enjoying a BBQ during the best Bank Holiday weekend for decades. We also had meals in the garden room, with the doors open to catch a breeze. Our daughter was married in the magnificent church in the village and the reception was held in the Kingston Courtyard just down the road. Everything was perfect, and the bride and groom stayed with us before and after the wedding. The cottage is also very well equipped with everything you could need - from a washing machine and tumble dryer to hoola hoops ( we had a family challenge to see who could hoola for longest!). Great place to stay. Fabulous walks from the door in any direction.
Fantastic pub next door for food ales and cider. Great walks from the door. Lovely big garden with herbs and fruit trees. Well equipped cottage including kids toys and dog bowls, rucksacks and loads of books. Wareham was our port of call for food shopping. Local people are so friendly we had a lovely time.
All you need to sit and relax.
Great walks and countryside has breathtaking views.
So much todo.
Wareham, had lots to offer with good butcher and lovely breakfast at the Salt Pig.
Which also sold local fresh brown crabs, which really hit the spot.
This is a really beautiful cottage in the village of Kingston, which is a perfect location to explore the whole of the Isle of Purbeck from. The house is cosy and spacious at the same time. I spent a lovely evening with friends by the fireplace in the sitting room. However there is no wood in the house, so you have to bring your own. The kitchen is very nice with a great view of the garden. The two bedrooms are lovely. It's very handy to have the Scott Arms right next door, where we had a good Sunday roast. I would recommend the Square and Compass in the next village, it's a great traditional pub, worth the taxi ride, especially when they have live music on. I was there at the end of January, and unfortunately we had bad weather, so didn't enjoy the garden much, but it is amazing and has stunning views. Now I want to go back in the summer!
