Walked in at 6:30, friendly welcome, no problem getting a table, but it was much busier when we left about 8:30.
Drinks and poppadoms were served promptly, we were not rushed into ordering. Good food - having lived in Bradford (W Yorks) for many years, we know a good curry when we eat one, and both of ours were excellent. Plenty of meat in both dishes. Mine was the nicest rogan josh I've eaten outside W Yorkshire.
One minor letdown was the Peshwari naan, which was sweet but tiny (Akbar's in Bradford makes them huge, and serves them hanging from a big stand), and obviously mass-produced (a perfect circle, no almonds or raisins). That said, the Ganges does Bengali food, so maybe we shouldn't have asked for something from Pakistan!
We immediately recommended the place to our daughter and a friend, we were so impressed, and we'll go back next time we stay over in Tiverton.
