I was taken here on my birthday last week for a day packed with surprises. We had a lovely walks around the lake and then a well deserved cup of tea overlooking the lake. Such a beautiful day with a beautiful view. Excellent service with nothing too much trouble.

We've visited the cafe twice in a week - the hottest week of the year! during our first visit we had lunch followed by a walk through the woods around the lake, the staff were lovely, friendly and professional the food was freshly prepared and well presented. The area was very busy with a school trip and other walkers enjoying themselves a wonderful setting in all weathers. Although 4 or 5 groups were complaining about the cost of parking £2 for 2 hours or £4 quite expensive.. Our second visit was for afternoon tea which again was very good and the staff (different) were very friendly and attentive.

1 adults, 2 kids and a dog took a long, long walk in the rain and decided hot drinks and cake were well deserved at the end. The cafe didn't disappoint. Good coffee, nice stuff to eat, a lovely little gift shop and a good view over the reservoir.

Visited for a family afternoon tea to celebrate an anniversary. The staff were accommodating for the party of 12, and provided a table, plates and a knife to share the cakes that we had brought with us.

An amazing view over the lake, along with an amazing information centre attached to the cafe. Food is lovely and well priced, also a little shop selling souvenirs. Would definitely recommend a walk in the lakeside paths - walk the opposite direction to the cafe and into the forest - very good paths and a delightful walk!!! Also hired out boats with my uncle and girlfriend one year, staff are super friendly and there are a lot of watercraft you can hire out, with wetsuits and life jackets provided!!!! Gorgeous area of Devon

Thank Hannah C
