Description: A traditional family-friendly pub which is also our village "local". We welcome all. The pub is in a converted police station and courtroom, hence the name. There are still abrs over 2 small windows in the main bar as these were the old police cells. Wide range of well-kept, local beers and ciders plus draft lagers. Food is mainly locally sourced and cooked to order. Live music events throughout the year. Major sports events are shown on the wide screen TV

Always thought about popping in here, so I did this on Wednesday 5th October, early eve. Heard good comments on the place and they were right food was fab. Staff were very friendly and polite would definitely return again.

We visited on a Wednesday night which was quiz night. We ordered a range of dishes from the menu which contained a range of standard pub dishes. The food was ok, but we found it very oily. The atmosphere was good and staff friendly.

We stopped here by chance off the main road on Friday 5th August . The outside seats were all taken so we had to sit indoors .we chose to eat in this bar although a member of our party had looked at the other bar prior to coming inside .the lady behind the bar was very accommodating clearing and making room for us to sit together .along with the other two members of staff who were extremely busy in the kitchen . We had a selection of food with the special being a curry and pint for £8.45 The vegetable curry was scrumptious with crisp vegetables all with mango chutney and popadom . Some of us had desert . A really good meal much appreciated .just wish we oils have stayed a little longer and listened to the banter of the friendly locals and their pets

Via a recommendation we visited for food whilst staying at the hotel next door.
The bar was dark and rather warm.
Quite nice lounge seating scattered around to enjoy a drink and a chat prior to eating, even if you have got he staff putting the sports on above you. I would say this is a local pub, not an eatery.
Menu choice was not extensive for covered enough for the majority.
Waiting time was reasonable and a couple of the meals were fine, however the rice was totally undercooked and when the waiter asked how the food was and we told him, he said OK and departed- never to return until collecting the plates.
They did remove the cost of the that meal to be fair and seemed genuinely apologetic.
Price was the meals were fair, however we would look elsewhere next time.
