We stayed in the tythe barn and it was lovely. Modern decor on the ground floor. Lovely big kitchen that is very well stocked with equipment. There’s a stone floor on the ground floor but still felt cosy.

The triple bedroom upstairs had black out blinds so our baby slept very well in her travel cot.

The cottage has a little terrace with a bbq. It was a bit cold and rainy when we visited otherwise we would’ve used the outside terrace everyday.

The pool is lovely and warm. The grounds are beautiful. There’s a little playground too.

The little town is small but picturesque. There’s a lovely pub a few seconds walk away.

Only negatives, the beds could have been a bit more comfortable and the wet room downstairs was always soaking wet after anyone had a shower so having a screen would’ve helped keep the rest of the room dry.

I would definitely stay here again. Perfect place for families.

This was our third visit to The Old Rectory Cottages - and we stayed in 'Woodlands' again! Such a beautiful cottage - really elegant, very comfortable and well-appointed. Stephanie and Derek are always so welcoming and it's lovely to have so many thoughtful touches to enjoy. We relaxed completely which was just what we needed. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: we really like 'Woodlands' - it's set a little apart from the other cottages by the duck pond and small wood - perfect!

Have just spent an enjoyable week in the Tythe Barn and would recommend it.
The property is set in picturesque grounds but feels private and secluded .
It is tastefully decorated with a very user friendly , well equipped kitchen .
We stayed here as four adults and a baby and it was useful to have baby equipment available . The glass tables , stone floor and open plan design meant we needed to be extra vigilant with a one year old for safety reasons .
The pool is the big selling point - we used it most days . With typical rainy British weather it was excellent having the roof over it and it was the warmest pool I've ever been in !
The owners were helpful when we arrived and luckily advised us to book a table at the local pub , The Grove , which was good advice as it was deservedly popular .
There were just a couple of negatives - the beds had very soft mattresses that didn't make for a good nights sleep . Also the shower in the wet room had no screen so made everything wet .

A beautiful village and lovely cottage - we stayed in Little Nymet which had all we needed. The gardens were great to relax in and to enjoy afternoon tea on! The swimming pool was just like getting into a warm bath but because of the good weather we had we only used it once.
A lovely setting, a good pub in the quaint village, very helpful and friendly owners - couldn't ask for more!

Have just returned from a fabulous weeks holiday at The Old Rectory Cottages. We stayed in the Tythe Barn and was overwhelmed by how much of a home from home it was. Everything you need for a luxurious break. The village is stunning as are the views. My 14 year old son enjoyed the heated swimming pool and used it every evening loving the fact he had it all to himself. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful. Could not fault this beautiful holiday cottage and location at all and cannot wait to return. Would love to spend Christmas there.
