We were surprised how private this cottage was and we felt like we were in the middle of a blissful 'Nowhere'! We enjoyed walking around the 40 acre woods and farmland , spotting wild dear, badgers and rabbits everywhere( in keeping with Easter! ) only a 10 -15 drive from terrific fossil hunting in Charmouth and delightful shops, cafes and restaurants of Lyme Regis and we enjoyed Sunday lunch at The River Cottage Canteen and Deli in nearby Axminster.
The owners, Pete and Bev are friendly and thoughtful and gave us such a warm welcome! No wifi was inconvenient but not a huge issue as we went out every day and most cafes had free wifi. Also, the property advertises 2 bathrooms but there's only one. Typo? We would definitely come back!
We enjoyed a wonderful holiday, the cottage is really secluded, very comfortable and cosy with everything we needed. Looking forward to going again.

A beautiful little cottage, perfectly restored and very well appointed with everything you need (except wifi). The property is very secluded, with no neighbours and plenty of your own woodland to explore. There are amenities close by, in Axminster, and you're also a short drive from Lyme Regis. The hosts, who live on another part of the property, were easily available and very helpful. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome, but also gave us privacy.
