Love this cottage. Home from home, comfortable, very well equipped cottage with thoughtful welcome box of goodies. We had a lovely, relaxing stay in 3 Glendale.
I stayed in the cottage for a week in June. Its a cute comfortable cottage that does tend to feel like a home from home after a few days. The upstairs rooms (2 bedrooms and the bathroom) are well decorated and looks very fresh. The downstairs is ok, though looks a bit darker. The kitchen has all the equipment you need and great touches that include condiments. We even had milk left for us and a loaf of bread, very welcoming. Wifi is pretty efficient too. The location, spitting distance from Dittisham quay and the legendary Ferry boat Inn is fantastic. Anchorstone cafe (amazing seafood) is over the way. Outside the front of the cottage has a table and chairs, if you get good weather this spot has sunshine all day. Parking is up on the levels, 10mins walk away. It's advisable to bring a car if you want to see the beaches and travel further afield but we managed without one, getting a taxi (£20) from Totnes station. We spent the week walking the many trails to Dartmouth, Kingsway and Sharpham vineyard. Top tip: Waitrose deliver food to Ditttisham, no need to bring it with you.
The negatives...some things to note; the double bed is very slim, just queen size and although mattress and bedding were nice the width made it quite tricky sleeping for 2 adults. Unless you are used to a very small double bed this will be hard work. I didn't sleep well at all. Also the bedrooms are quite hot. The main room downstairs (kitchen / lounge) has a low ceiling and if you are over 6"2" you will be stooping down all week. Bring shower gel, there's no soap holder in the shower weirdly.
Overall a lovely cottage. I would stay there again but would use the 2 single beds more for a better sleep next time!
