Yes, there are many cafes in Dawlish and yes a lot of them are very good but none of them live up to the ambience of the Sealight Restaurant. This is a very intimate cafe, not one of those where staff don’t care about you but one where you can relax on comfy sofas in pleasant surroundings of with lovely artwork of seascapes which are for sale because this is also an art gallery. There is a lovely selection of drinks, cakes and meals AND ALL GLUTEN AND DAIRY FREE! So veggies and vegans get yourself down there and enjoy this lovely cafe, with helpful friendly staff, in our beautiful little town of Dawlish. I live here so I should know.

This bright and cheery art cafe is a delight. We stopped in for a superb mid morning coffee and tempted by the delicious looking freshly made home bakes and Tarte Tartin.
So refreshing to find such a welcoming by the delightful creative owners.

We found this amazing cafe/art gallery when everywhere else was closing at tea time ! Lovely sandwiches - specially made, love birds singing, friendly owner to chat to. Also reasonably priced high quality and unusual ceramics for sale.

Utterly gorgeous cafe/art studio tended to with unprecedented love and care. Such a lovely surprise to find hidden in Dawlish high st. Calming music, soothing turquoise decor, bright and peaceful art all around. The scent of ylang ylang in the air, shells and heather on the tables, blankets and cushions a plenty and an tantalising menu to boot. I really don't think it gets any better than this! ❤
