Travelled down late evening / night on the way to Cornwall and planned in a stop over at this Travelodge. I booked about 9 months beforehand and got a great advance rate of around £59.
We arrived after 1am but I had rang ahead a few days before to let them know and request a ground floor room. The receptionist lady was super helpful.
This hotel is on the side of the A30 but you wouldn't know it. We stayed in room 8 which is a family room very near reception and faces the rear of the hotel so not towards the road. We were able to carry our sleeping son in easily.
We were also able to have the window open and only hear the road very slightly. We had our 6 year old son and the bed was made up ready. It was a proper bed with duvet and pillows and very comfortable. Our large bed was also very comfortable. Plenty of pillows and towels.
The rooms are large and fresh. A fan had been left in for us which was a nice gesture as it was humid weather.
Right next to the hotel is The Hog and Hedge lovely independent cafe which serves local food and proper coffee. It has a small play area, plastic plates and cups, pristine facilities and baby change/food heating area. We had breakfast here and it is 10 seconds walk from the hotel doors and shares the car park. No need to book, just walk in. It has free WiFi and plugs to charge devices for onwards travel.
Also right next to the hotel is a 24 hour Spar shop in the petrol garage.
We then only had 1.5 hour drive to St Agnes which was ideal as was able to beat the traffic and will definitely do this every year now.

The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were cool as fan had been left in for us, lovely stay and value for money
The restaurant next door closes at 7pm so the receptionist suggested a local pub, the food there was excellent quality and the staff there were also very friendly

Clean room, fresh bedding and friendly staff. Everything explained clearly and concisely. Fresh fluffy towels, plenty of tea and coffee in the room. A nice quiet environment. A real treat to stay at this hotel.

Exactly what I expected. Clean and basic rooms with everything I needed and no frills. Slight issue with 2nd day wi-fi which was resolved with their 30 mins free wi-fi. TV worked well and the bathroom was clean. Hotel was conveniently located to major road but their wasn't too much road noise, despite being a hot night where we had the windows open.

We stopped here for a three nights. What a great value hotel which is close to the a30. This place was clean and comfy the staff were very friendly and helpful.

The best part was the ease of parking and the location of the resturant next door.

We had fabulous weather but this did mean the rooms were hot. The hotel supplied a fan to keep the room cool at night which worked a treat.
