The cottage is just breathtaking. The owner has truly thought of everything that you could possibly want from a honeymoon hideaway.
The local pub served fantastic food and everyone was extremely welcoming. The sheer selection of places to visit in and around Dartmoor meant that we were spoilt for choice for where to visit.
The membership pass that the cottage has at nearby Bovey Castle is well worth a visit for a swim in the pool and a proper cream tea.
We booked this for our honeymoon and had such an amazing time, the food in the local restaurants was fab, the local village was so idealic. The cottage has fanastic features, all you would want for a memorable honeymoon with top of the range furnishings and detail, you just can't help but love all of it! Would love to visit again. The owner has thought of all the details to make sure your stay is perfect with a great guide and everyday essentials provided (such as tea etc). Love it, love it, love it.
We stayed at moorland view cottage with another couple and it turned out to be the best holiday in England we've all ever had, completely idyllic!
The cottage itself is completely perfect but not so that you don't feel at home and relaxed, the little touches show that you are a most welcome guest from the scones and cream welcoming you on arrival
to the fluffy gowns and slippers awaiting you in your bedroom.
The setting of this luxury hideaway is equally stunning, hidden away in a tiny village with a fantastic friendly pub serving great
food, and some beautiful walks.
Overall, i can highly recommend moorland view and think Suzy has done an amazing job of creating a welcoming 5* accommodation that's like a luxurious home from home.
I am a massive fan of self catering over hotels anyway, but staying at Moorlands View was something else again. Every tiny detail has been been thought through, so that you really do feel like you're in your own second home. It's ultra romantic in every way, from the decor, to the cottage and even the village itself. The countryside was amazing, and we made good use of the complimentary pass to Bovey Castle as well as buying up the local produce for a dine at home. It's not cheap, but when you fancy a splurge I would choose this over a tiny hotel room anytime. Oh, and the bath is amazing.....
