“Perfect base for discovering North Devon”
Reviewed 21 June 2016 for a stay in June 2016

High View is clean, light, well furnished, comfortable, uncluttered and well equipped. The shower is amazing, the beds are so comfortable, the views are extensive, the garden and decking area are perfect for evening barbecues. If you want to cook, the kitchen has everything you need. The Nespresso machine is a well considered and much welcome touch!
For days out on the beach, the buckets and spades, and the body boards provided were so handy as was the de-sanding shower when we got back!
Perched on the hill you get a fabulous perspective of Braunton, there's a children's play area almost directly beneath the house on the main road and there are a handful of footpaths and cute cottage filled streets that'll take you the short walk into the village.
Food options in Braunton are varied and plentiful - particularly enjoyed Riverside and At One, but the fish & chips at Squires are top notch. Everywhere was so kid-friendly too.
We hired bikes from Otters for a wander along the Tarka Trail, as recommended, and had a lovely, low cost day out. And within 10-15 minutes' drive there is a fantastic selection of beaches for sandcastles, rockpooling or surfing - Ilfracombe, Saunton, Croyde and Woolacombe.
The guest book was so helpful at pointing us in the direction of things to do in the area and everything was so close. All round this was a very comfortable place from which to base ourselves for enjoying beautiful North Devon.

“Home from home...excellent”
Reviewed 18 May 2016 for a stay in May 2016

Used High View as a base for a weekend away with friends. We were very impressed with the facilities at High View, it had everything you could need, and more. It was clean, comfortable and in a quiet location, all adding up to a relaxing time! The owner was very attentive prior to our stay & was available during our weekend, we especially appreciated the complimentary bottle of wine, and coffee pods!
Thank you for a wonderful weekend in High View

“Fantastic place to stay!!!”
Reviewed 26 April 2016 for a stay in April 2016

The Bungalow was absolutely gorgeous, a real home from home!! Everything you needed was there, and spotless. A pint of milk in the fridge and a bottle of wine, who could ask for more. Can't wait to go back again.

“Great holiday home”
Reviewed 24 February 2016 for a stay in October 2015

We had a great time at High View, good to the title it holds good views from the living and one of the bedrooms. It is very well equipped across the kitchen and living room. Would thoroughly recommend the property for families or couples looking for a break in a gorgeous little cottage near the sea and all the area has to offer.

“Total Relaxation!”
Reviewed 1 December 2015 for a stay in November 2015

I have just spent a totally chilled out weekend in Braunton, staying at this fantastic property with my friend. The property is situated on a hillside, which provides beautiful views and amazing sunrises which you can watch from your bed if you stay in the double bedroom.
The property is newly refurbished, which means everything is SPOTLESS which is just what you need when you are away from home. With such a lovely kitchen you could be tempted to cook a meal, but there are some lovely restaurants less than a ten minute walk away, so we just had leisurely breakfasts admiring the views.
The property is perfect for a family ( I will definitely go back with mine) and the location is ideal for exploring the lovely surrounding beaches (even in the cold). The popular area of Croyde is near by, but Braunton really is better value for money. I would not hesitate to recommend this property for a break in the autumn or a week-long stay in the summer. Well done to the owners for creating such a lovely property....and the provision of Netflix and wi-fi was a nice bonus.
