Description: A warm Guernsey welcome awaits you at the Old Quarter Restaurant from Paddy, Dana and the staff. This is honest, no nonsense food with a slight Irish slant as you would only expect from Paddy's home roots. The Restaurant prides itself on using as much locally sourced ingredients as possible; fresh from the land and the sea the taste of Guernsey comes out in every dish. Paddy and the team are keen to show off the best of what Guernsey has on offer each season and the menu changes to reflect this. Our cosy restaurant caters for parties up to fifty people, so whether its a business meeting over lunch or an intimate dinner for two we will always do everything to meet your expectations. We are also very flexible with our menus and happy to adapt to your needs where possible. You will find us at the centre of the Old Quarter among a mixture of antique dealers, art gallery's, craft shops, fashion boutiques and unique privately run shops of all types and descriptions. With its narrow cobbled streets it really is like going back in time to what most of the town of St Peter Port once looked like, but with a modern twist of quaint little shops. Any stroll around town is not complete without a trip up Mill and Mansell Street, why not cap it off with a light lunch or and early evening meal.

The atmosphere at The Old Quarter is always brilliant. We always have a great night - the food is excellent (Paddy is a brilliant Chef with very high standards) but all the family and staff are always very warm, welcoming, friendly and fun.

This is not a place you would stumble across so I thank TripAdvisor for finding it
It was a celebration for my parents golden anniversary and it was a perfect choice
It's much nicer inside than the photos suggest
The place was full (it was a Saturday evening) and the staff were very friendly
The menu was varied and all 5 of us loved our meal, would highly recommend the filler steak, my dad said it's the best he'd ever had!
I would definitely advise booking and taking the time to seek out this lovely restaurant

We ate here just after 6pm on a Wednesday evening. The restaurant was quiet but we given a warm welcome. We had crab cakes and salmon linguine for starters followed by homemade sausages and whiting stuffed with spinach. We made sure we had room for dessert too! The food was attractively presented and tasty. My husband really enjoyed the soda bread -the chef Paddy was Irish and we thought it was a lovely touch that he came out of the kitchen to chat to diners. His step daughter did a wonderful job front of house. If we had been staying in St Peters Port or had our own transport we would have eaten here again during our weeks stay on the island.

The Old Quarter is a little off the beaten track at the top end of Mill Street , an area of town where nearby shops are obviously struggling . However , it is well worth seeking out , they had a full house on the Saturday evening we visited , the service was a little on the slow side , but the food was superb . We all had a different fish dish , ranging from crispy sea bass to monkfish in garlic butter , and all locally caught . The owners are Irish , and the accompanying veggies had a distinct Irish flavor . The house wines too were good value at < £15 per bottle . Yes , definitely worth seeking out .
