Classy conservatory restaurant on the harbour, pity the walkway blocks much of the view though.
Having said that, the food was brilliant. Smoked duck salad and crab cake starters, & sea bass main were all well executed. Best of all the Mignon fillet steak and half lobster, a fabulous surf n turf!
Good and expensive wine list, Pouilly Fuisse £39.
Good place for a special meal.

Although the restaurant was very busy as it's popular and rightfully so the food and service were excellent

Beautiful setting at the end of the pier overlooking the harbour. Classic food, comfortable restaurant, and attentive staff.

We booked for lunch on Sunday. This was not the kind of roast dinner I would've expected. There were roast potatoes and mashed potatoes; double carbs!! The veg were mashed swede and carrot and cauliflower cheese on the side that didn't really taste of cheese. Some greens wouldn't have gone amiss, maybe cabbage perhaps? The dish lacked seasoning too. Oh, and mustn't forget the Yorkshire pudding.

The men had the best end of lamb which also lacked seasoning and was a bit on the tough side. The flavour of cherry didn't come through either. Our other friend chose the turbot. Nothing special either. Such a shame.

Located on the Albert Pier at the seaward side of the car park located thereon Pier 17 offers very good food including a range of locally caught fish. Service is good too. The restaurant is located on the end of the "pier" and offers scenic views from most tables of the harbour.
