Nice experience, guide was very informative. Wine tasting was a bit rushed but enjoyable. Had lunch there which was tasty and nicely presented. Took about 2 hours with lunch

It is interesting to see how and island not too far from England has a good wine production. The tour guide was a jolly chappie that threw in a few jokes as he took us around the vineyard and then inside to show how the production of wine happens. Not much going on April as the grapes are just growing and smiling in the sun. He explained the effects of heavy frosts, snow and rainfall on the volume of grapes harvested. It is amazing to realise how old some of the vines were. Inside we had a tour of the distillery where the apple brandy was made ( back to my chemistry days ). They are also famous for Jersey Black butter which has an amazing taste. ( word of warning is that if you buy some in the shop and are only travelling with hand luggage it will be confiscated at airport security. The shame is that the shop at the airport stocked another brand so they got you ).They will ship to UK. Nice day to sip a glass in the sunshine with a friendly chicken. ( see photo )

We all loved our visit here. Informative without waffling on and on. Really interesting stuff, even if wine isn't your thing. The tasting was great and although we didn't eat in the cafe, it looked clean and the food looked good.

Visit the estate whilst in Jersey last week and had an enjoyable experience. Unfortunately it was a Sunday and not everything was 'working' at the time, but we enjoyed it nonetheless. The wine tasting was good and we had a snack in the cafe there which was lovely. The shop at the end of the tour was great for Jersey gifts to take home. Certainly worth a visit whilst you're in Jersey.

We went for afternoon cream tea and tour deal. The cream tea was nice as was the glass of La Mare sparkling wine, but the service was just a bit sullen and unfriendly. Not overly bad but just a smile and pleasant welcome would have made all the difference.

The tour afterwards was fascinating and Graham the tour guide was absolutely brilliant. He is such a good speaker, really engaging detailed explanation of the processes with a little bit of humour thrown in. Graham was the highlight for us.

I live locally but had no idea what they did at La Mare and was really impressed. I would recommend the tour to any visitors.
