First of all, I have to say that I almost don’t want to tell you how good Casa Acqualoreto is – because I want to be able to get a booking there again. But I have to share our amazing experience! The house is large, clean, comfortable, airy, the beds comfy and the kitchen is a cook’s dream. Each room has its own bathroom with a little basket of toiletries, tissues etc. There is a gorgeous herb garden, fresh eggs from the chickens and we even found some late season figs on the trees. The new pool is gorgeous and the pool area well set up and comfortable. And Acqualoreto itself is a beautiful little village with a great osteria where we ate local food on two occasions. However, the very best thing about Casa Acqualoreto is the owners Tiziana and Roberto. They were so helpful and kind to us – Tiziana cooked us an incredible lunch in the pizza oven, organised bookings for us at the local osteria AND gifted us a cake and bottle of bubbles for my 9 year old’s birthday party at the restaurant. Every day, either she or Roberto would maintain the property discreetly, collect the eggs for our breakfast, and answer any of our questions. After we left a parcel from NZ arrived for my son’s birthday and, well beyond the call of duty, Tiziana sent it on to us. These people are very special people and when we left I almost cried because I didn’t want to leave them, or the house! It truly felt like a home away from home and I can’t wait to get back there one day (soon I hope!). Talia and family, NZ.

The owner Tiziana ticked the first box, she is warm friendly, obliging and generous. Her farm has chickens, herbs vegetables fruit and more. We had fresh eggs almost daily fresh farmed rabbit and free run on the figs, apples herbs and other produce.
The property is large well appointed and comfortable with spectacular views across the Tiber Valley. There is a wood fired pizza oven and a lovely terrace on which to enjoy its output!
Il Capricorno is in easy walking distance to Acqualoreto where there is a restaurant which serves decent food at a reasonable price, and 20 minutes from Todi in one direction and Orvietto in the other.
The other main attractions of the region are mostly in a car day trip so there is lots to see do and eat!
The property is highly recommended!
