Very well run. Friendly staff. Interesting short film to start you off with a talking dog named Duke. Not a lot to see here but it is FREE. They even give you a free photo. Who the heck does that in these times?? The gift shop had many items to choose from including fun to try food items. The prices were similar to our local grocery store so no rip-offs here. Priced right. A fun stop run by good folks.

This was my 2nd visit here. Video tour is very interesting. Gift shop was cute and reasonably priced. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Immaculate museum and restaurant. Dined at restaurant on a previous visit and was pleased with service and food. There is obvious pride of ownership of Chestnut Hill.

Hey, my family loves these baked beans, so when I saw that this museum was close to some other things we were visiting in the area, I jumped at the chance to visit. The entrance to the museum and the General store is free. There's parking on site. You can see the factory in the distance. Immediately someone nice will greet you at the door to usher you on your way through the cute little museum. If you have kids, they will be given a card and a pencil to use on a quest. They find placards with questions on them and when they answer the question, they fill it in on the card. You can then hand it in to an attendant for a completion certificate and a sticker. You also get a free picture with Duke (green screen). There was a lot of information about the process and the history of the family's business in canning beans and vegetables. The kids really liked the exhibits, which is saying a lot. You can be weighed to see how many beans you weigh. The museum empties into a general store with Bush's merchandise as well as the kinds of knick knacks you are used to getting in boutique type Southern stores.

Highly recommend this if you find yourself with some time. It was great hearing the Bush Beans story, visiting the museum and the general store, and talking with the people. By the way, they had a couple of perfect looking antique trucks (farm trucks) that ran like a top. We enjoyed the visit. Just leave time for a meal at the cafe at the end.
