“A Comfortable, Peaceful "Cottage" in the Country, but Close to Nashville."”
Reviewed 8 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

Would you like to unwind in a peaceful comfortable "cottage" on a farm where you cannot even hear the occasional vehicle go past on the closest road? The "cottage" has three bedrooms and can sleep six. It is mostly log construction, built about two years ago using salvaged logs from older buildings. We have seen deer in the early morning. Although we have not seen turkeys on the property as yet, we have seen them in the area. When you need to go somewhere, I-65 to Nashville or Kentucky is less than 3 miles away or the network of local roads will take you to Gallatin, Hendersonville, or Portland. (Better have a REALLY GOOD GPS as the road pattern seems to be quite random!)

The 100+ acre property has a lot of trails going back into the woods and along the adjacent wheat field. There are two other rentals (Little Dove Cottage and Little Red Farm House) as well as the owner's house. They are hidden from each other. There is an event venue (see their website: StayDownontheFarm.com for more info.)

Liked best: Our visitng grandchildren were intrigued by the waterfall faucet in the bathroom.
Liked least: Although there are beds for six, table space and utensils are more adequate for three. The stairway and loft railings are not suitable for very young children.
