My husband and I were on our way back from Fort Myers, Florida, heading back to Ontario, Canada and felt Clinton, Tennessee would be halfway for us. We checked online prior to heading out from Florida to make reservations. We prefer the bed and breakfast atmosphere as opposed to the generic hotels along I-75. The Skunk Ridge Farm B and B was very close off I-75 and close to the small town of Clinton. We were greeted by Larry and Martha who were very welcoming after a 12 hour drive. They gave us a room upstairs though it seemed like we had the whole upstairs to ourselves. The weather was a bit dreary and there had been a storm the night before leaving branches down in the area. My husband and I took a walk around the beautiful property, taking pictures and enjoying the scenery. The Skunk Ridge Farm had once been a Christmas Tree Farm and before that had boarded horses and the barn was still standing on the property. Their pool was open but unfortunately due to the cool and wet late afternoon, we didn't go in. We went into Clinton for supper at the Golden Girls restaurant, drove around the town and headed back to the B and B for a much needed sleep. The bed was so comfortable that I don't even remember pulling the covers up when I hit the pillow. We woke up the next morning well rested to numerous birds singing outside and went downstairs to join Larry and Martha at the dining room table for a delicious home cooked breakfast and conversation. We would have loved to stay another night but unfortunately my husband's work schedule didn't allow us to. Although our stay was short, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Skunk Ridge Farm Bed and Breakfast. Larry and Martha were wonderful, interesting hosts and we will more than likely be stopping in on our trip back next year.

We came back after a great stay in the Spring to attend the Antique Festival in Clinton. We loved the beautiful country setting and you couldn't find kinder hosts than Larry & Martha. The charge is reasonable and the suite is private with a separate room for lounging and an extra bed if you need another. Breakfast is "to order" and the hosts join and make themselves available to answer any questions about the area. If you go just to get away or to enjoy the beauty of this area of the country this is the place!

Room Tip: Only stayed in the suite but worth the little extra you pay over the room.

Sisters and husbands travelling together. We settled on a Bed and Breakfast close to our family reunion o the July 4th weekend. We found the lodging online. Reviews were good. Pictures were really nice. The pictures and reviews did not do complete justice to this fabulous accomodation. Larry and Martha were amazing hosts. Miss Annie speaks for herself, their kittycat. Comfort, cleanliness all taken to the ultimate level. THe breakfasts were amazing especialy the pecan waffles. We had rented the entire top floor of their home. 3 bedrooms 2 bathrooms sitting room . Swimmingn pool available. We managed a swim in between the raindrops. Everything was there for comfort. It was indeed a home away from home. Very close to everything but remote enough to appreciate the quiet serenity of the area.
We will be back!!.

We arrived for a five day stay in May and the B&B was in an out of the way place but it turned out to be quite an advantage. The place is in a very quiet area even though it is quite close to interstate 75 and lots of businesses including great places to grab a bite to eat.
The home and property are beautiful. Twenty acres of trees, vineyard and wildlife. The owners greeted us warmly and were most accommodating. The room was large enough for four guests and included a separate room for TV watching and internet browsing. One king and one queen or large double bed, small couch and twin rocking chairs. Smallish bath with shower. Custom made breakfast with a personal touch. Great company from Larry and Martha that really made the stay even more enjoyable.
I definitely would stay here again.

Room Tip: Both rooms are fantastic.

We have stayed at Skunk Ridge Farm on two occasions, and we were very pleased both times. We enjoy Larry and Martha's warmth and friendliness. Their home is a very comfortable and comforting place to stay. Breakfast is a very enjoyable experience, with menu items cooked to order and prepared at the time we requested. Delicious! The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated, and the beds are the most comfortable ever! There is plenty of privacy. It is a peaceful setting, yet only a short distance from the expressway exit. For animal lovers like us, the cats and dog are a bonus. Both times we visited, we wished we had more time there to explore the farm and learn more about the area. We will go back as soon as possible!!
