I am perhaps predisposed to like Niedlov's because my son-in-law used to work there, but I think anyone who likes to sit in a nice, informal, homey bakery/cafe with the smell of yeasty fresh bread filling the air, leisurely sipping a cup of coffee and reading the news while munching on a luscious brioche or Danish, will love Niedlov's. Come for breakfast and have one of their inventive creations such as the Croissant Spinach Frittata Sandwich. Or come for lunch and try a chicken salad sandwich on ciabatta, or a Tuscan turkey and bacon, or a pear and goat cheese salad. Or give into temptation and have a sinfully sweet cinnamon roll or chocolate croissant. Or if you can't stay at least take some of their wonderful bread home. But by all means, whenever you are in Chattanooga, GO THERE!

Pretty good Coffee, too. But I go for the bread. Yes, I could buy a less expensive loaf of bread, but there is no better paragon for the artisanal bakery. Their breads put the finest European breads to shame. I buy them warm, unsliced, right out of the oven. Here's an anecdote: more than once it has happened to me to be in the field with a sandwich in my lunchbox, and a hungry co-worker (who forgot his or her lunch) - so I share mine. The response is always, "Wow, what kind of bread is this? It's incredible!" is a small breakfast/brunch/linch menu that is excellent. Great place to study and or business lunch.

Popped in here for a coffee and pastry. The line was long which was a good sign. Choose the cheese/strawberry pinwheel and a very good coffee to go. Both were very, very good!

With friends, we stumbled upon this on our way to the escape experience. The sandwiches were friggen awesome and plant based to boot.

Just walk inside and you can't help but want a taste of everything you see. There is nothing like the smell of fresh baked bread and goodies to make you ready for a meal. This place is located in a kind of artsy district that is in the process of being totally revitalized. One other thing about this place is they sell there bread to many of the local restaurants who make terrific sandwiches in their own right. Really fresh, really great. Four stars? They could offer a few more varieties of baked goods!
