using a Groupon coupon gave us an opportunity to dine here, looking out the window at the Tennessee River..

Shrimp and grits...."outstanding" ....their Bourbon Bread Pudding ..sooooooooooooo good. check out the detail of the grand staircase as you enter the dining room...and don't miss the marble topped vanity w/it's brass sink in the "ladies room" A must see for antique lovers...

We ate here because a dinner for 2 came with our Groupon. Salad, entree and dessert. We both thought the food was okay but not worth the price if we had to pay for it. But you also have to remember the setting, a 1926 steamboat on the water, which you are paying for. We had the salad, Chicken Boursin, Grilled Pork Chop and the Bourbon Bread Pudding. The salads were good, we both like our entrees but nothing special. We saved and ate the Bread Pudding for breakfast the next morning. We both thought this was the best thing we ate. Understand lots of folks love the shrimp and grits from the reviews. A majority of the plates we saw served were the shrimp and grits. Wish I had tried it.

As for the breakfast buffet, I really enjoyed it. Mexican eggs were great.

We ate at the Paddlewheel last night during a two night stay onboard the Delta Queen. The meal was fantastic, the view incredible and the whole experience one we hope to repeat soon. The chef from New Orleans makes the best grits you will ever eat but don't fill up until you try the Bourbon Bread Pudding! Getting to experience the luxury of days gone by while gazing out over the Chattanooga river front makes it more of an experience than a meal.
