Finally stopped by for lunch and enjoyed every second.

1) immediately cheerfully greeted upon arrival
2) beautiful old building interior that was so clean it positively sparkled
3) Food - my wife had a very large and perfectly cooked cheese burger and I had the special mushroom/Swiss chicken sandwich. Both meals arrived hot, large and very tasty.
4) service - our waitress was the happiest and friendliest we have had in all of our Black Hills travels.

Only one disappointment, didn’t see the Bison Burger on the menu. However, the BLT on sourdough was very good, as were the burgers and hoagie that others had.....made only by great service. Beautiful building as well, once a Victorian hotel.

This rustic watering hole serves good, hearty food and generous drinks in a homey hole in the wall sort of atmosphere. We had the tender beef tips, perfectly grilled, and served by a cheerful young woman who clearly enjoys her job.

Stopped here one day because we ate here several times in the 90"s. Same decor which is very interesting early Lead and has lots of photos of the early mining activity in the area. Lunch was good and very reasonably priced. Service was very good and the staff friendly.

We began eating at the StampMill in the early 2000s. At that time, the restaurant was VERY good. Since then, ownership has changed many times. The current version retains the same cozy atmosphere. And the staff is friendly and attentive. But the food has become quite ordinary and overpriced for what it is.

The business has a bar area and overnight rooms on the 2nd floor. I have no knowledge of the accommodations. But empirical evidence (driving by) is that the bar area is popular with the locals.

For a mid-priced meal, however, there are better choices nearby.
