If you don't need a workout room, pool, breakfast buffet - this place is fine.

Family run motel that seems to do the best with what they have - together. Very hospitable.

Rooms are simple & clean. Pretty basic Direct TV (no ESPN) with 19/20 inch TVs. "Mini blinds" instead of room darkening shades/curtains (unless you enjoy seeing the hotel sign through the blinds each night and sunrise at 6:00 am).
Perhaps those are things to consider in the future.

Bigger, thicker towels would be a nice addition as well

Convenient to Hill City and Mt. Rushmore.

After a thoroughly disappointing stay in Hot Springs the night before, this was a refreshing and relaxing experience. The room was clean and comforting, more like a home than hotel, after a long day of adventures and exploring.

The Internet screwed up our original reservation, and Dixie at the Spring Creek Inn was nice enough to house us. She was very accommodating, and the facility itself was excellent. It's a great location.

We called and asked if it was dog friendly the woman told us yes so we booked our room . We drove 10 hours and when we arrive we asked the woman about close places to grab some food. She then decided to tell us we can not leave our dog in the room by his self and the town doesn't have any fast food restaurants so we had to use the grocery store or one of us sat in the car with the dog when we did carry out. I mean we didn't plan on leaving the dog in the hotel while we went out all the time but it would have been nice to have a dinner or breakfast with my husband in an actual restaurant at least once since this was our first actual vacation in 10 years. When we planned this trip we called all the places we planned on seeing and made sure our pet could join us and planned around him ... it was a family vacation pet and all. I just think that when someone calls and and asks her if her hotel is pet friendly she should say.. yes but you can't leave them alone in the room. Also if everyone is out site seeing during the day how is the dog going to disturb anyone it's not like he would be alone all night barking and keeping people awake. I think she's kind of dishonest.

We stayed in a double bed with kitchenette. It was spotless and very comfortable. We loved the well manicured grounds (beautiful flowers). There is a fire pit, small pavilion with gas grills and picnic tables, swings, playground, merry go round, volleyball net and horse shoes set up. We can't wait to stay here again with our granddaughters. The location is perfect (1 mile from town). The owner, Dixie, is fantastic and a hard working lady that takes pride in running a first class place.
