Description: We are a Casual Fine dining Italian Restaurant of 16 years. We offer all freshly made to order entrees, as we do not have steam tables in our restaurant. Chef also offers new specials from Italy every week starting on Wen. We offer 10 Italian crafted beers and an all Italian wine menu with both bottles and by the glass. We are in a quint historic old home with 20 tables total inside, and 20 tables on our new screened in covered patio and our open deck. We were rated 4 stars by the Post & Courier and voted best Italian restaurant in Summerville by readers choice. Our owners wife makes our desserts. (Tiramisu, Cannoli, Spumoni (Gelato), Tartufo (Gelato) & Chocolate Hazelnut Torte).

We are house hunting in the area and tonight we decided to stay close to the hotel The Red pepper fit the bill. What a cute little home type of restaurant. We were seated and greeted by the hostess. We moved to another area since the air was blowing down on us. The small intimate room was perfect. Our waitress was so helpful and warm. We orderd our drinks and settled into the menu filled with authentic dishes. I ordered the eggplant parm and husband had the Diablo which came with huge shrimp and scallops. the devil's sauce was true to its name. Very spicy and tasty. Each entree came with a salad and side of freshly baked focaccia bread and dipping oil. Each meal was very filling and we did not have room to taste a dessert. We will be back when we move down here.

My wife and I saw the place as we were driving around learning our new hometown. At first we thought there was really limited parking but there is lots of parking out back. This is really good Italian. The music is Sinatra and other such music that keeps the mood right in line with the place and the food. Great Italian choices. I had veal and it was wonderful. Saw a lot of favorites and we will absolutely be back for more. The service was really good.

Since we live 45 minutes away and visit Summerville to see relatives, this is a lunch stop for us. Thursday was our fourth visit. My standard order in Italian restaurants is eggplant parmigiana and theirs is great. The eggplant is thickly cut and the sauce is rich and hearty. We also enjoyed the tomato bisque. The service is very friendly. We will stop again in the future.

Was really enjoying dinner, delicious. Ordered dessert, the special of the night. It left a very weird aftertaste, bitter, bitter aftertaste. Let waitress know, she apologized and offered to wrap it to take home. My dining companion suggested a replacement. Waitress apologized again and while more than happy to bring another desert selection, the owner has a no return policy. First time ever the restaurant would not try to make the customer happy with their food. Disappointed with owner attitude towards customer service.
