I visited here with my family and everyone had a great time. The kids loved the badge maker and especially the virtual fire truck emulator. They played in it several times. They also enjoyed the playground in the middle of the museum as well. There are several fire trucks on display dating back to the 1800s. Lots of fun and leaning here plus it isn't super expensive!

Came upon this and stopped in as a brother in law is a fire fighter as EMT. Many engines on display, all in emaculate condition. If you like red and chrome, this is a great place. Interesting displays of equipment and fire safety. Play area for kids to use a fire pole i
Or sliding board.

The facility tries to be a museum and a children's entertainment center at the same time. Since the two mostly share the same real estate with the entertainment center at the hub and the museum exhibits wrapped around it, they are competing for the same real estate.

The museum part features quite a spectrum of fire-fighting equipment that is wonderfully restored and preserved. We were fascinated especially by the equipment dating 1890-1910. We couldn't see all the exhibits because we had a disabled person with us who wasn't safe with all the children running back and forth at some of the exhibits.

The children's exhibits seemed to be a nice blend or mixture of fun and education. There were lots of children present and nearly all were interested or even captivated by the presentations and activities.

If the museum and children's exhibits were on opposite sides of the facility so adults could spend time absorbing what the depths of what the museum shared without getting run into; or the children could enjoy their activities without having to dodge the stationary adults; this would be a great place. As it is, I have to say it is neither fish nor fowl, interesting for all ages but dangerous for older adults or people with walking disabilities.
