Owner description: We do Nature & Wildlife Boat Tours on the rivers and creeks of the Waccamaw River and Intrcoastal Waterway. It is a beautiful, moss draped river system along the untouched National Wildlife Refuge. We hope to see alligator, osprey, turtles, heron, egrets and whatever Mother Nature wants to reveal for the day. This is a narrated 1.5hr boat tour. It is an educational, historical and adventurous experience. You will check-in at the gift shop/education station. There are games and chairs on the property along the river for you to enjoy while you wait to board the boat. Grab a cold drink, chips or some ice cream at the Gift Shop/Snack bar. You will enter the same road as the Waccatee Zoo and follow the Waccamaw River Tours signs to the back of the property along the river. We have our own parking area here. So come join us for a Nature & Wildlife river adventure. You may walk-up but be aware seats may not be available. We also have Private Nature & Wildlife boat tours, Private Nature & Wildlife Boat Tours and Osprey Photography Boat Tours.

We thoroughly enjoyed the Riverboat cruise. This was a very family friendly adventure. The narration was excellent, our tour guide was full of useful knowledge and fun tales of the river. Great way to spend the afternoon.

Captain Rick was very entertaining and informative as we motored along the Waccamaw River and connected creeks. A great way to see, feel and hear the heart of Low Country.

We went in late March and saw multiple Osprey nests with the females nesting. One cool site was an Osprey with a fish in its talons on a tree branch. Even though it was cool the day we went we saw a couple of turtles. Captain Rick and Betty not only educate you about the wildlife but the history of the waterway too. This trip is very family friendly. If you go on warmer days you may see more wildlife.
