My mother and I stopped by to kill a few hours before a dinner reservation. It was a Saturday evening at about 6:30 and even though the broadway was busy the museum was not. It was $14 per adult so not as expensive as the aquarium and other attractions around Myrtle Beach. It was very cool inside which wAs a welcome escape from the heat. You go on a self guides tour with remotes that tell you about different exhibits. I enjoyed that part very much. I wasn't told of any no photo rules but a few spots around the museum told you it was great for photos. The staff was nice but not on top of you the whole time.

Some features of this attraction included listening to actual 911 calls reporting UFO sightings, sticking your hand in an aliens stomach to feel his guts, an alien "shooting range", and much more. Also movie props.

I want to go ahead and make this clear. At no point did anyone in a costume jump out to scare you. This is not a haunted house. Feeling the guts was sketchy but nothing moved or tried to scare you.

Someone else who reviewed it said it takes 10 minutes to go through. That's true. If you do not read anything on the walls or tables. If you actually look at everything there is to look at it would take hours I would guess. I could see how it could get boring for small children but it has very large fake aliens that entertain them. I didn't take it too seriously. It was cute and fun. We enjoyed it and I will be returning with friends and family from out of town.

Very interesting exhibit for UFO fans!
The museum contained chronological descriptions of significant historical UFO incidents, including commonly-known theories and sightings, including the Roswell crash and speculation about Nazca lines and other ancient monuments, as well as lesser-known incidents. The tour was completely self-guided and required the visitor to read plaques or listen to a pre-recorded narration. This allowed the visitor to take in the information at their own pace and thoroughly read everything, although a guided tour may have been more engaging.
The visual items, including replicas of artifacts, alien mannequins, and authentic props from sci-fi films such as District 9, Terminator, and Alien, were quite neat and made for good photos. The life-sized model of a spaceship (labelled as an "abduction simulator," although no simulation occurred) was very cool.
The museum is great for people who have an interest in UFO sightings; however, there is not much to engage those without any existing interest in the subject matter. Additionally, while the museum shouldn't be frightening for children (although younger/more sensitive kids might be creeped out by the mannequins and the abduction simulator) there isn't very much to entertain young children.
However, with a good mix of exhaustive information and eclectic visual aids, the UFO Experience is a must-see for extraterrestrial believers and UFO aficionados..

I have to agree with another trip advisor reviewer...if I could give it a Zero I would !

You are given a remote and walk through the self guided tour in about 10 minutes.

Very fake! Don't do it!!

Just an utter and complete rip off! Horrible waste of time and money! They should pay people to come and look at this "attraction"! So bad! I could have gone on the internet and found out MORE than what they had in this place. Do not go here!
