While staying in the Isle of Palms and looking for somewhere close to the condo, we decided to try this restaurant which is part of the Wild Dunes complex. The weeknight of our visit was in the middle of the first week of their themed dinner buffet. The them was southern style and came with pulled pork, mac/cheese, mashed potatoes, meatloaf/bourbon gravy, catfish, a large salad bar and more. Food was very good and the mix of diners covered all the age groups. This is not a quiet date night but at $20/person on weeknights, a good value. Be sure to check your bill: they had an 18% 'service charge' in addition to an empty line for 'tips'. I was told, when I asked, that the service charge is the tip.

The Lettered Olive served a wonderful Prime Rib Buffet last night. The salad bars alone were some of the best we have ever had..Wild Dunes is on track with this new concept..our waitress Jessica was outstanding. Chef Robert came out to visit also. He has done an amazing job there.

Simply no, do not go here. Go into Charleston to eat where there is good food everywhere. Buffet and average food at best. The environment is lovely but the food leaves a lot to be desired.

Choices!

We visited the Lettered Olive during Easter week. A buffet was all that was available.

Service for drinks, water, dessert and the check was terrible. It took forever to receive anything.

The buffet was fair. Shrimp were good but other items were not refilled on the line.

I would not recommend this restaurant. There are so many good places to eat in the Charleston,no reason to go here.
