This is our 2nd stay here and you just can't beat Marriott timeshare. Whether you own or rent the Marriott has all the comforts of home put together with class, comfort and simple elegance. The unit slept 8 (with the use of a sleeper sofa) or six in 2queens and a king master. The master has a connected bath (huge!)and the other has its own bathroom as well. The kitchens are spotless and equipped with everything that you could need to feed a large or small group. There is a laundry room in each unit which I now find to be a necessity! Ah, Marriott you have me spoiled! We look out to an unobstructed total ocean view. Extremely quiet. Two large heated pools and whirlpools. A beach bar and grill serving delicious food. A beautiful beach and you can rent chairs on the beach or you can rent a beach buggy(cart) with three,( five position) chairs, an umbrella and a small cooler. This is a great idea as you have all you need to head to the beach in comfort. The beds have nice linens and down pillows(or others on request) as well as bath products and hair dryer. They have really thought of everything that you would need and if you need something else all you have to do is ask them. Large balconies have nice outdoor wood furniture. Covered parking for your car and they also rent out bikes. I have never stayed at a bad Marriott...They are a dependable awesome group!

Room Tip: If you have kids you may want close to the pool.

Wow...this place is top-notch!! We spent a week in March and despite the cooler temps in SC, still had a great time. Our family had two units next door to each other in the bldg located at the rear of the property w/beautiful views overlooking the lagoon. Both units were well-stocked, exceptionally clean and quiet. Elevators were clean and quick, as well, with plenty of luggage carts available. Ample parking is available and any employees we encountered here were very pleasant and seemed to enjoy their jobs.

Even though we were staying on the back side of the property, the walk to the beach was only 5-10 minutes. We spent a fair amount of time at the Sea Salts Beverage Co, b/c it was located closet to the beach, and had great service. Kids (teen-aged) utilized most pools and hot-tubs, all were clean and heated.

The resort also offers plenty of activities for all ages - it's kinda like being on a cruise! Our group won the Iron Chef competition, trivia at Sea Salts and took 2nd in the Newlywed Game :) Kids rented bikes and rode all over! We enjoyed the corn hole competitions and the craft beer night, as well as the S'mores. Josh does a great job facilitating the resort activities, too!

We day-tripped to Savannah (1 hr away), Charleston (2 hrs away) and ventured to the light house end of HHI another day. Glad we were staying at SurfWatch, away from the commotion/crowds at the other end of the island. Kroger's is located just down the street and is a great, clean store. The days spent solely at the resort, though, seemed to be the favorites.

Our best dining experiences were the Low Country Backyard: seafood purloo, key lime pie, banana pudding, moonshine flights, outdoor games and live music...made for a great evening! Also enjoyed outstanding shrimp and grits at Skull Creek Dockside. We had good seafood at Hudson's, too.

While at SurfWatch, we had a family emergency and my mom needed to get home asap. Carol (at the front desk) was such a blessing!! She booked an airline ticket for the next morning and had the boarding passes delivered to our unit that night. She was very helpful, patient w/us, and went above and beyond to help us out. We are so thankful for your kindness, Carol, and won't forget it!!

We can't wait to come back!

All villas offers great views: Lake front, Ocean Vista and Marsh front.

Travel Tip: This is a Marriott Elite Property, and first timers and veterans will delight in a SurfWatch vacation.

We commenced our two-week Hilton Head vacation in Ohio at 30 degrees and Ice, and today are relaxing on an Atlantic Ocean Beach in Sun and 84 degrees. Marriott SurfWatch offers a Great Beachy vacation.

My wife and I have enjoyed every day and year of our Professional Careers, and decades ago discovered the happiness of driving Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina on our Journey to the Carolinas with history, culture, dining, and nearby beaches.

We have departed Ohio winter and delight in Spring flowers and trees in blossom in Hilton Head.

Marriott SurfWatch greets every guest with special treatment, and the check-in offers parking and a large, inviting lobby.

Marriott SurfWatch is constantly updated, and we like the new exterior and interior painting. This large property is well planned and landscaped.

The entrance foyer offers some space and an in-villa washer and dryer (closet.)

The master and guest bedrooms are nicely decorated with new carpet and art. Both bedrooms have a bright and functional bathroom.

The kitchen has new appliances, and is user friendly.

We like that the kitchen, dining area, and living rooms have an open concept with water views. Housekeeping and maintenance are first class.

The living room has been updated, and the furniture is comfortable. We like the villa’s art and water views.

Marriott SurfWatch is a short drive to Hilton Head’s restaurants and activities.

We find the beach to be first rate and enjoy greeting the Atlantic Ocean upon arrival.

We often visit with families, who are two-three generational. Marriott SurfWatch offers 2-3 Bedroom/bathroom villas.

Marriott SurfWatch is very family and couple centered. Marriott Surfwatch provides a well-planned activity schedule.

The property offers an Atlantic Ocean Front Pub with drinks and pub food.

Given Hilton Head’s variety of dining and several fine dining properties, we are pleased with a short drive to many Hilton Head excellent restaurants.

Marriott SurfWatch is the newest Marriott Vacation Club at Hilton Head, and we highly recommend.

Very nice clean resort. Friendly staff. Guests that are not vacation club members do get housekeeping service. Drawback, the place is very easy to miss, especially at night. Discounts @ local businesses when you show your room key. Very pleased with our stay, especially in room laundry, laundry detergent provided.

Marriott has taken care to make sure that the thing they do best (maintain nice villas, rooms and outdoor accommodations) is accomplished. What they left out in the way of dining is an indoor restaurant of any kind. We simply drove 10-15 minutes to a wide array of nice restaurants for breakfast and dinner. No big deal to not have a restaurant although a restaurant would do well here.

The beach is just a moments walk from the villas. There is a small boardwalk to the main outside deck by the ocean where there is a bar and grill to sit and have lunch beside both the pool and the ocean. There are plenty of adult drinks being served here and the food is mainly lunch foods and was pretty good.

As far as the parking, we never had a problem finding a space. We could easily take the stairs or elevator to our floor to get to our room which is never far away from the stairs or elevator. There are only 4 floors in our building and we stayed on the 3rd which had a full view of the ocean and the grounds including the pools beneath us and between the buildings.

Things outside shutter around sunset so the noise dies down early and there were no loud parties, etc. going.

The pros heavily outweigh the cons at this beach club. Overall, we were totally satisfied with this pleasant property.
