The house is neat, clean and modern, with every facility, but it's situated in a 17th century courtyard, giving a real sense of rural style, open space (great for the barbecue!), sunshine and peace and quiet. Through an arch is the caveau of Domaine Guinand with highly recommended red wines in particular (try Les Frenes!). Situated in a quiet village (the boulangerie is just a few paces outside the gate and there's a village shop, a pizza place and a bar) and with the ViaVino restaurant and its educational wine spaces a short walk down the road, this gite is perfectly situated for so many places: Sommieres is a five minute journey in the car and Nimes and Montpellier are really very close. The A9 is also close by, providing a quick link to so much else in this region and beyond. A great location with friendly and helpful hosts.
