“First stop in the South !”
Reviewed 27 May 2012

We wanted to stay in the Historic District of Charleston for our first visit and the Indigo Inn proved to be an excellent choice . Room was nice with a super comfortable bed and separated dressing area . Front desk staff were pleasant and helpful and the lobby reminded me of an old English Inn. Fairly simple breakfast was served in the lobby each morning which could be eaten in the gorgeous courtyard . Afternoon wine and cheese was layed out each day if you were back at the Inn. There are many things to do in Charleston and 4 days was just enough to get a sample . Carriage tour should not be missed and the beaches out on Folly Beach were beautiful . A GPS in our car proved invaluable on the trip as we easily found our way around the Charleston suburbs and back to the Inn as well as the rest of our holiday .

Room Tip: We always like the top floor (third) so no one is making noise above !

I visited the Indigo Inn for the first time about 10 years ago and had a great experience. Last weekend, my husband and I visited Charleston and were happy to find that the Indigo Inn is still as charming as ever. The staff was welcoming, our room was quiet and comfortable and, as before, the courtyard is magical. It's the perfect place to start the day with the small but delightful breakfast of fresh fruit, pastries, etc. We didn't want to leave!

Thoroughly enjoyed our Charleston visit and our accomodations were excellent. The Indigo Inn is a home away from home with a great location, superb accomodations and amenities with a very congenial and professional staff led by Brian, Naz, and Julie. We live in North Myrtle Beach and will certainly return to Indigo Inn for our return short getaways. Thanks again.

Situated in the historic district with reasonable rates, the HOTEL INDIGO is a lovely setting for your stay in Charleston. A friendly staff, great breakfasts each morning with wine and cheese to start the evening, a lovely courtyard overlooked by balconies (very New Orleans-style) in which a waterfountain muffled any traffic sounds are just the highlights. Rooms are stylish with heavy furniture and are kept fastidiously clean. TV, fan, a/c all the amenities you would wish. Very near to the City Market blocks, many restaurants and shops ... location was perfect.

Room Tip: If you can, ask for a room not on the main street side. If you want more than one bed, book early...

We, me and two friends of mine, stayed here the first part of April. We were in town for my bachelorette party and decided last minute to stay an extra evening. The hotel is in a great location and it's just too cute. It is full of the over 65 crowd, but we loved that-it was classy and quiet. The courtyard is beautiful and the afternoon wine and cheese was a wonderful plus. Our room was large and the beds were very comfortable. We loved the evening turn-down service as well. Breakfast is served each morning and is very typical of other hotel breakfasts-simple but good. Would definitely stay here again!
