“Southern charm”
Reviewed 15 March 2012

The charm is better than the food. The service was excellent as we were catching a play in the neighborhood .

“WONDERFUL!!! Don't miss the Oysters!”
Reviewed 14 March 2012

Within walking distance of much of the best of Charleston, Magnolias is simply the best you'll find. Do not miss the Oyster appetizer, make it an entree, fabulous!!!

“When in Charleston eat at Magnolia's!”
Reviewed 13 March 2012

One of the best meals we've had in the south! The flounder dish was fantastic. Great menu selections. Everything was delicious and you can't ask for better service. Prices were reasonable. Great location. When making a reservation ask for a window table.

“Best Shrimp and Grits ever!”
Reviewed 13 March 2012

Got a great feel of southern gentility walking into Magnolia's. Every bite of our food was perfect, but the shrimp and creamy grits with sausage and ham in tasso gravy was beyond exquisite. Soooo good! I highly recommend it!

“Old girl holds her own”
Reviewed 10 March 2012

For second of three nights in Charleston, wife & I "settled" for Magnolias in the sense that we expected a drop-off after having eaten the night before at Husks. Not so fast, Bubba: while the food did not match the other in sheer creativity & originality, it was every bit as delectable. Wife was smitten with the crab bisque, appreciative of the crabcake; I was knocked out by the pear salad: the pear had been boiled(?) & infused with a wonderful vanilla taste that was complemented nicely by pecans & feta cheese--and then came the shrimp & sausage grits. Could not have enjoyed a meal more, plus we were impressed by the ambience & the excellent service of Katlyn. The food, the service, the lay out/setting made for an wonderful dining experience.
