We visit Charleston a few times a year and have never had the chance to dine at FIG. Wow, it's all it is supposed to be and more. We had a wonderful experience. The service was great and our meals were delicious!

Reservations at FIG (aka, Food is Good) are dear, so plan to grab a table as soon as they become available, exactly at 10:00 am, four weeks in advance. Thus, anticipation had built when our day arrived. The atmosphere is casual and unpretentious, and the clientele was quite diverse in age, dress, and style. We began with burrata and figs (appropriately) and spaghetti with crab. Both were fine, but they could have used more of the featured ingredients — figs and crab, respectively. Our entrees were slow-cooked snapper and grouper. The snapper was nicely prepared and moist. The grouper was flavorful and well-prepared. Neither dish had a “Wow” factor, however. We ended with the signature blackout cake (plenty of chocolate and surprisingly good barley malt ice cream) and the coconut cremeux (several dots of a coconut cream with a crisp meringue and excellent raspberries). It was a good evening, but not quite the exceptional experience that we craved.

While Charleston has more than it's fair share of wonderful restaurants, FIG is one of the very best. From the burrata with figs, to the gnocchi bolanese and fish stew were fantastic! Can't wait to come back.

We came here for dinner. Fun trendy atmosphere, lively crowd. We got the gnocchi, chicken liver pate and suckling pig. All delicious! It's the second time we have gone and I will continue to come back each visit to Charleston.

This was one of our favorite experiences during our visit to Charleston. The staff was welcoming, professional and efficient. The food was excellent across the board. The appetizers, lamb bolognese and burrata salad, had subtle and flavorful tastes. My husband loved the amberjack fish dish. For dessert we had chocolate cake with some beautiful details. Highly recommended.
