If you want something more than a Days Inn or Travelodge but don't want to spend $400 to $600 per night (lots of those in Charleston), you won't go wrong at this hotel. We spent five nights there last month at about $150 per night and all in all it was perfect for us. Yes, it is a little older, but the only way you can tell is from the architecture and the decor, which give it the feel of a downtown hotel from a few years back It is really great shape and the lobby is really very upscale.
Our room was in excellent condition and very well taken care of. It is in the heart of the city and within walking distance of shops and restaurants. The hotel's restaurant is good for a quick breakfast, but not a special evening dinner. We'll definitely stay here when we get back to Charleston.More
