This was our first visit to this theatre. The lobby and halls have paintings and artifacts which added to the historic atmosphere of this former church. No musty smells! The building is well maintained. There are steep stairs to climb from the lobby to the theatre. I am not sure if there was an elevator.I would double check with them before you go. I had expected the inside of the staging area to be old. However, I was delighted to find it completely redone. There was plenty of leg room and comfy ample seating. I especially liked the friendly staff, the professional performance and set design. The play was cleaver, well acted and highly entertaining. We had an added treat as the author of the play did a "talk back" answering questions from the audience. Don’t forget to walk around the town and visit the park across the street. There are several interesting places to eat in the town.

The Granite Theater has never been a disappointment. It is an intimate theater with comfortable seating and bar service. A new production is staged every few months that are always professionally done, drawing on local talent. From drama, comedy to musicals, they have it all.

The box office staff are very friendly and helpful. There is parking for handicap behind the building, but give yourself enough time to find parking on the street. The space is a renovated church, so you can't miss it!

Great for a special night out with a special someone or friends.

Saw this farce whilst visiting relations, in August 2010 and all members of the cast made it a brilliant performance.
Will return there on my next visit in January 2011, no matter what the show is.
