I eat here at least once a month. My favorite dishes are the mushroom soup and Caesar salad. The service is great, and the lounge is very small with a large fireplace. Especially great in winter.

Not a whole lot of choices but with the right choice in dishes, excellent. Wrong choice will leave U disappointed.

This used to be one of the finest restaurants in the area and it is a shame now to see how far they have fallen. We made reservations to take a friend for a birthday dinner. Things did not start out well and never improved. For starters after four different tries they did not have any of the wine in stock we ordered. The waitress announced to the table that it "was because of my price point." Also she told us they don't stock much wine because "reservations were not what they used to be." Finally she just brought a bottle she found in stock that was mediocre at best.

We enjoy having a leisurely dinner and after a couple of times of coming to the table to check if we were ready to order she hurried us along by implying the chef said we needed to order. What did he want to go home early? Sorry about that but at $30-$50 entree I expect a bit more.

The ladies had duck and salmon and they enjoyed their meal. The guys had a "pork porterhouse" which was filled with gristle, dried out and did not have much taste.

Finally, we has made arrangements prior to arriving at the restaurant to have a dessert with a birthday message for our friend. They never followed through on our request.

We have enjoyed this restaurant in the past because of the ambiance, food and service. They had not been consistent the past few times but we thought we would try it again. This was the last straw we will not be back after this experience.

We went here for Valentine's Dinner and simply put, it was one of the best meals I have ever eaten in a restaurant. Service was excellent, food delicious. Started with a Thai seafood soup, Dilworthtown house salad/roasted beet and arugula salad, Florida Grouper with bok choy and shiitake / Duck a l'orange and finished with orange cake and coffee.
Superb from start to finish! An ideal place for that special occasion.

Superb food set in historic surroundings. Excellent menu options - steaks, seafood, ... all tasting wonderful and served with delicious sides. It's great for those special occasions - for a couple or family. My favorite place for the family to celebrate an event (like my birthday).
