Total waste of time and money. Totally unorganized from beginning to end. Painfully slow ride with very few interesting scenery. You'll see Back of houses, roadways, walls, parked train cars. No narration and no one to even ask a question. You are left totally alone. $25 a person for a boring slow ride. Unless you just want to ride slowly and relax and maybe nap skip this. The people running it don't even try.... so disappointed, couldn't wait for it to be over. Herded like cattle in and off. No refreshments or even water available. In fairness those who had dinner were at least paid attention too. Seats where comfortable is only good thing I can say.

We enjoyed the open car and beautiful scenery. It's a slow, relaxing ride for people of all ages. In the summer months they offer a dinner ride on the weekend.

The young man and lady who were running the ticket booth and operating the train were very nice. The open air car we rode on was nice. The ride was mostly through an old railroad cut that did not offer very much to see, unless you enjoy looking at a highway and the back of homes when visible. We were expecting beautiful views of wide open spaces, but only saw a couple of these areas. The ride itself, was a short ride out to a small lake where you stop....look at a few people fishing in their boats, and then you travel back the way you came. The train has an engine on both ends, so it is straight out, and straight back. Little kids enjoyed this ride, but boring for adults.

We took the sunset dinner ride. Dinner was plentiful and tasty, the servers were very polite, efficient and informative. The scenery was marshy at times and scenic at other times but the sunset was beautiful.

Train ride does not ride everyday but we were there to catch the Firework Express to Hammond Lake to see a 4th of July display. We arrived early and was able to get in line so that we were able to ride in the open air car. We were told that some cars did not have air conditioning so we were in good shape. We were also able to stay in the train to watch the fireworks, Ad said to bring blanket to sit outside to watch but really you would be sitting on railroad ballast and weeds. Getting there early was the way to go even if it meant standing in line for about 45 minutes.
