I chose this hotel for a college reunion because there was a break on the price and because I had stayed here in 1976 when it was the St. David's Inn. Apparently, before that, it was a Holiday Inn. The positives: The service is lovely, the restaurant is very nice (if expensive). There is free Wi-Fi. It is close to the ligth rail statiion.
The cons: The rooms still have the look of a Holiday Inn, and the beds in our room could well be the same as the ones here when I was here in 1976. There is no sound-prooffing, and when the neighbor turned on his shower at 6:30 am, my 9 year old and I both jumped as is sounded like a compressor had gone off. I don't mind the decor, but for the price, I would have expected better beds and some sound-proofing. Or at least new mattresses.
