Three friends met for lunch at this typically decorated Chinese restaurant. There was an old fashion bar complete with glass mirrors backing their array of liquor bottles. The restaurant was quiet but there were take out orders being filled as we ate. There was a good variety of lunch specials in the $6-7 range which included a choice of soup and main item served with rice unless the dish had noodles in it. Our choices of soup were sweet and sour and egg drop.Won-ton soup was also a choice. Both were served hot and were very good. Our main items were sweet and sour chicken, shrimp lo mein and beef and broccoli. The chicken dish had the expected batter coating and was served with the sweet sauce on the side. That was good because the chicken was crispy until just before dipping it in the sauce. THe shrimp dish contained a generous portion of noodles and there were 5 medium sized shrimp in the dish. The beef dish was served with slightly firm broccoli which was good (I do not like mushy vegetables) and the beef was tender. We did ask for hot tea but it was served to other customers. The server was timely and our water glasses were refilled without asking. I would go there again.
