You have to drive up a narrow barely paved road to get here, but it is worth it. If you follow the path to the right of the dam it brings you to a wooden overlook. You can go down further, but it requires a little bit of climbing over roots and rocks. Not extremely difficult, but narrow and slippery from spray.
The falls are not high, but are many levels which makes it fascinating to watch. There were a couple people fishing while we were there.

My family and I, as well as a friend's family, stopped here while exploring waterfalls in the region. The waterfall here is just below the dam that forms Shohola Lake. It's a wide, cascade-style fall, that looks like it would be great to swim below on a warm, summer day. There isn't much to explore, but we spent a half hour or so meandering around what was. Definitely worth a visit if you're trekking the multitude of falls in the region.

The lake looked beautiful I look forward to bringing my kayak to go exploring in the future.

The falls were beautiful. I couldn't fit them all in one pic.

This beautiful natural area is not cared for by Pa game commisision fallen trees block trails, picnic tables are destroyed and the lands are filled with homeless people needing shelter. Not a good place to take young children, very scary experience for my grandchildren

Shohola Falls are not that well known and not particularly high, but wonderful nonetheless. To get there, take Route 6 West from Milford. After driving about 15 minutes, you will approach Shohola Lake and a bridge crossing Shohola Creek. Before you cross the bridge make a left into a road with the sign for Shohola Inn and Cabins and drive 300 yards to a fork. Make a right at the fork and into a small parking area. From there you can see the lake and dam to the left and a short path down to the falls to the right. The falls are not high, but are broad and vigorous and you can walk over several areas where the flow is lower. The best viewing angle is to carefully follow a short descending path to the right which brings you around for a full head on view of these wonderful falls. Take care as there are no handrails and the path is narrow, but manageable. There is also a viewing area on the other side of the falls, which we did not visit, which can be accessed by driving back out to Route 6 and crossing the bridge until you reach another parking area. If you are visiting some of the falls in the Delaware Water Gap, if you have the time, Shohola Falls are worth a visit.
