The Cathedral of Learning is an apt name for this gorgeous place. The grounds are beautiful and everything around there is worthy of visiting.

International classrooms were particularly unique and fascinating. Architecture is magnificent! Worth a visit.

Nephew and lady friend teach at Pitt, so as we walked by they said we should go in and see it. It's really quite beautiful. They knew some of the history, and got us to one of the top floors with a beautiful view of the city at night. No cost - just a marvel of architecture.

Nice and curious place, the university still
uses this historic building for imparting classes. The hall is remarkable and serves as studying room.
Go to the first floor to have better views of the hall. Go also to the back of the building, there is a nice grass area with a nice view of the building.

This nearly 100 year old building is still used as classrooms for Pitt...It almost reminds one of a cathedral or castle with the huge rooms and stone walls. You can look around at your leisure and try to imagine it when it was built in the 1920's. It is impressive now and must have really been a wonder in that day.
