Very friendly and informative desk staff at night when we checked in late after a terrible drive over the stormy mountains. Very nice hospitality for a mid-range hotel. Comfortable bed, clean room and bath, nice breakfast featuring the usual stuff.
The thing I loved most was this book that was standing on the mantle in the lobby. It was a book of artist's prints of the local area, wildlife and landscapes--it was beautiful and the narration was fascinating. I thought about it for the rest of our trip in and around the Grand Canyon of PA area.

One suggestion would be to turn on the AC for arriving guests and also the room was a little musty on entry because the AC was off and windows closed.

I am very picky about hotels and have stayed in some Quality Inns that I was not happy with. However, this location was GREAT! The room was very clean and everything worked as it was supposed to; nothing sketchy. When my husband and I first made the reservation, I notified the hotel that we'd be bringing our dog. When we checked in, they put us in a room at the very end of the first floor hall that exited to the pet friendly lawn area - it was perfect! Our dog never encountered any other guests when we took her outside. Also, the bed was very comfortable and we slept great. It was super quiet in the hotel, but we also visited in early July when Mansfield University was not in session, so that my have something to do with it. The continental breakfast offered the typical decent food, but I was pleased with the variety. Also, like mentioned in some other reviews, we received a "goody bag" at check-in with a bottle of water, chocolate bar, granola bar, and rice krispy treat. That was a nice touch; great first impression, but the staff was also very welcoming. The only "negative" was the room was a bit musty, but I'd stay there again.

Room Tip: If you plan on bringing a pet, tell the hotel when making the reservation. They are very accomodating!

We stayed here when passing through with our two young children. The hotel is very dated although it looks as though they attempted some updates, it wasn’t enough. The carpeting is very dirty in rooms and shower had mildew smell. The breakfast was included which included waffles, eggs, bacon, coffee, juice, and pastries. Our biggest complaint was that when leaving there were staff members smoking right outside the entrance where there were multiple no smoking signs posted. During the night we could smell cigarette smoke but not sure where it was coming from. This was a huge disappointment and will have me stopping elsewhere on future trips.

Though we have undergone recent updates, further projects are planned for the near future, including replacement of carpeting throughout the hotel. My husband and I stayed one night. Great check in and check out experience, the breakfast is awesome with variety. We had a king bed room, bed was comfy and clean, room and bathroom were clean. Overall, great experience! We would definitely stay again.

We booked this hotel while on the road-only a few hours before we arrived. The staff was so friendly. They even greeted us with a “goody bag” of bottled water, a candy bar, & a granola bar. Breakfast was included, but because we arrived very late at night, we overslept. Again the staff was terrific offering us a late checkout as well as juice & coffee. Our room was very comfy (why else would we over sleep) & was immaculate. And the price was excellent!
