“Family Escape in the Poconos”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 March 2012

This is one of the few ski in/ ski out resorts in the Poconos. The hotel is updated and feels new. The rooms are comfortable and well maintained. Our kids (ages 11,9 and 6) had a great time and the Queen Suite with a mini Fridge offered ample space. Their are several dining options on site, but not much in the area. Aside from skiing, there is hiking, mountain biking, disc golf and tennis available. We tried Geocaching, but this activity was not maintained as well. Overall, an enjoyable escape in the Poconos

Thank you for giving us your feedback regarding the GeoCaching. Our staff does maintain them throught the year, we apologize if some of the caches were disturbed and appeared as if they were not being maintained. We just revamped all of our Caches this past week (March 12th - 16th) to make them fresh and exciting for a new season of Treasure Hunters.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bear Creek. The decor was gorgeous, reminiscent of places out west. Everything was top notch-they sparred no expense on the details nor the maintenance. And, the staff was very nice and helpful. I would highly recommend Bear Creek for local skiing and an easy get-away.

Room Tip: Southern Building 3rd Floor had great balconies.

This was our first time at Bear Creek and also our first time skiing. We had a great time. The hotel met all of our expectations. The staff was friendly, the rooms were clean, We arrived 2 hrs early and our room was ready so we were able to check in early. The ski instructors were great! They were very knowledgeable and patient. The food at both restaurants was very good. Overall it was a very enjoyable wknd and we will return next ski season. Highly recommend Bear Creek Resort.

A beautiful hotel/resort not often found in the Pocono Mountains. Our rooms were at the bottom of the mountain. Beautiful, clean decor. Something for everyone, Skiing, tubing, hot tub, pool, restaurants, kid's game room, etc. Upon arrival, there was wine and cheese at the desk. If you stay at the hotel, there is a separate ski rental/storage area just for hotel guests! No waiting in lines-terrific! The restaurant, The Grille, is cozy and had a nice bar with TV's.Fireplaces in the ski lodge. Free coffee/paper in the lobby in the morning. They just have some very nice touches. We will go back each year.

Room Tip: Slopeside rooms are available and overlook the mountain.

First time going...Had a wonderful time. The room was huge, clean and beautiful. Top Notch place and reasonably priced. The only down side is you can't check in until after 4PM, and even then you are not guaranteed that your room will be ready. We got there at 2PM, went swimming and couldn't get into our room until after 5pm. It was hard to get settled, order food for dinner and then get out to our prepaid tubing session at 7pm. Other than that, the place was absolutely AWESOME!!! I will definitely be back with my family.

Room Tip: Microwave, coffee pot and small refridgerator in the Queen Suite.
