Description: The Black Bass is located on the scenic Delaware River in historic Bucks County, Pennsylvania, just 8 miles north of New Hope. The Black Bass is the perfect Bucks County setting to enjoy a fine dining experience in our riverside restaurant, more casual fare in our Tavern, or a luxurious weekend stay in one of our weddings or other special events as well as corporate meetings or gatherings.

My wife and I celebrated our 9th wedding anniversary here over the weekend. We have been for lunch a few times and really enjoyed the food, service and view...This visit did not disappoint!

Sue was our server- she was absolutely AMAZING! Very engaging, professional and real! Dinner was fantastic- we enjoyed the Crispy Shrimp, Lobster Linguine and Scallop Risotto- all were FANTASTIC! Dessert was the Blueberry Cobbler (And the Chocolate Mousse to go)!

I absolutely cannot understand why ANYONE could have a bad experience here...It has been perfect, every single time!

Thank you, Sue for the card and the Chocolates- that was a great touch!

on a cool, drizzly spring afternoon, what a perfect place to enjoy a birthday lunch. Cozy, with a great view of the river....Casey, our waitress was outstanding...friendly, attentive and helpful...tomato bisque soup & cream of asparagus soups were outstanding....main entrees could be a little better, but were very good....

I wanted to treat a friend, while I was visiting her from out of state, to a special lunch. The experience was less than good. My soup of the day, cream something, was uneaten -- it was a soggy, tasteless SMALL bowl of soup. The crab au gratin - which should be creamy and served with a starch or toast points, was soupy - and not even served with a spoon to scoop it up. A VERY SMALL PORTION of soupy au gratin.

Dessert - apple crisp - was not crisp and apples not fully cooked. And a SMALL portion at that.

The fact that so many people rave about this place is a total mystery. If you want a spectacular river view, then have a drink there and enjoy that and the wonderful interior of this really disappointing restaurant.

Had the most wonderful experience; the service was excellent; and the couple next to us made the experience worth the trip. Definitely worth the price as well.

This was our first time dining at the Black Bass and we were not disappointed. We were celebrating our anniversary and wanted to go to someplace cozy and off the beaten path ( we live in the city and most places are modern and large in size). We took the 50min ride and from the time we arrived till we left, we were treated like family. The restaurant offers free valet parking and has beautiful views of the Delaware River. Our server, Liz, was absolutely wonderful and made some great recommendations which were spot on. I had the filet minion and my husband had the salmon. I heard the portions were small, but honestly, they were quite filling so no complaints. After our meal, Liz surprised us with a beautiful card and small box of chocolates to celebrate our anniversary. It was a small gesture, but had such an impact on us. If you are looking for a quaint, cozy place with a delicious menu selection, I highly recommend giving the Black Bass a try. We will be back to enjoy their outside dining as soon as the weather warms up.
