If you want to know what the Mennonite and Amish believe and practice, the 2 movies they show will do this. Great gift shop.

We came in to get a general introduction on the Mennonites in Lancaster County, including the Amish & Pennsylvania Dutch. We saw a short video in their center, which was informative. We booked a guide for the next day to show us around in the area. The center itself also puts a lot of emphasis on the exhibit of the Tabernacle, which did not interest us, so we only briefly stayed at the center.
Next day, the guide took the back seat of our car and guided us through the area. As a Mennonite (but of a more liberal denomination), she had expert knowledge about the people, their beliefs and their culture. She also went to the real Amish places and avoided the tourist traps. After the 2 hour tour, we were familiar enough with the area to continue on our own. The 54 $ fee was more than worth it.

We visited this place after watching Jonah at the Sight and Sound in Lancaster.

It was and amazing experience to learn about the Amish and the Old Testament.

It was also explained while we toured for a minimal fee.

Planning to keep coming back here every year!

Stopped by on a Friday with my wife and went to the presentation of the Tabernacle they have on site. It's a full size replica based on info given in the Bible. The guided tour is worth the extra cost. The information center is otherwise free of charge. The static displays in the center give a summary history of the Mennonites and Amish and describe the differences between the two and how they came to be.
The center has two levels and there is an elevator for those who can't do stairs.

Everyone should stop here before they spend vacation time in Amish/Mennonite country. They give you so much information and help to dispel myths and common misconceptions about these folks.

The Tabernacle presentation was very good, helping us to visualize what the actual tabernacle was like (at least as much as can be discerned from the Bible). Our guide was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable.

The folks there were also helpful to us in navigating thru other places to see in the area.
