Very friendly front desk, clean accommodations and a nice breakfast. The breakfast had some hot and cold items which were constantly being refilled. Hotel was attractive and a good place to rest for 1 night. The bed was a little hard though.

The location of this hotel is just outside of the city center of Kennett Square, but still very convenient to Longwood Gardens and surrounding attractions. Staff was friendly, and hotel was clean. The pool was under maintenance when I visited, but a sign said that guests were invited to swim at the Hilton Garden Inn down the road.

Suites were large but the staff was not attentive to a few issues we experienced. No bar on site and WiFi was not good. Road noise was an issue as well. Breakfast room needed more space at peak hours.

I was leery of staying here because of past reviews. Tired, breakfast not so good and
Other hotel near by is better. Well, what a pleasant surprise! From the moment we arrived I was impresses. Check-in seamless. Lobby spotless, servers where cleaning the floor (it was raining and they were drying to ensure no one slipped). The lobby has a coffee, tea and hot chocolate station. Also, large water container with fruits and vegetables for flavor of the day. Very convenient. Got to our room and it was
Spotless.....upgraded recently July 2017. It was obvious. So, bottom line, I recommend staying here. It’s only 1 mile from Longwood Gardens. Applebee’s is less than a mile. Also other restaurants available. WinterThur is about 2 1/2 miles. All in all a wonderful stay. In fact, we’re going in the spring to Longwood Gardens and will be staying here. Employees are very helpful. Breakfast has a large selection. It’s not gourmet, however, it’s better than others. Pancakes, oatmeal, fresh fruit, breads, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage and muffins. Lots of drinks.

Room tip: Ask for a room facing the front. Back is next to Route 1, can be noisy.

We stayed here 1 night, while visiting Longwood Gardens. The lobby seemed clean and inviting. Both elevators, however, were splattered with food stains and caked with dirt. On opening the door to our room, we were met with a terrible smell that can only be compared to human feces. This smell lingered until we left the next morning. We were placed into an accessible room, so the bathroom had no tub, but one large tiled floor with 2 drains. This seemed to be where the smell was coming from. The tile floor and drains were filthy. So much that we felt the need to wear flip flops while showering. The rest of the room seemed clean, but very scuffed and worn.
We called the front desk to get extra pillows, but the phone rang for minutes, with no answer. After 3 attempts, a (very friendly) employee answered. Because the hotel was understaffed, we retrieved the pillows from the front desk ourselves.
The next morning's breakfast featured 3 separate hairs in our food, as well as a fridge shelf full of expired dairy products.
I don't intend this review to be a reflection of the friendly, overworked staff. Instead, this is a very disappointing reflection on the Marriott brand, its negligence, and its unwillingness to adequately staff this hotel.
