If it has been raining then some of the steeper sections can be hard to come back down on along the track. The hike is not too bad, I often see kids and their parents taking on the walk. There is some wildlife such as birds and roos that you might see up there. The walk back down allows you to see all over Scone valley, it can be quite beautiful especially at sunset. It's a great little walk and if you go all the way to the gate should only take about 45 mins on average. It depends on the ground and how fit you are. It is peaceful up on Scone mountain :)
